Elise Capozzi - Instructor
Ms. Elise has been dancing since she was 5 years old and has experience in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop,
contemporary, and lyrical. She was a dancer at BCS Dance Studio for 8 years before she went off to college, where she continued her dance education. While a student atBCS, she enjoyed being a student teacher for many years. Her passion for education expanded
beyond the world of dance. Elise graduated from Salve Regina University in 2019 with a dual
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education Grades 1-6 with a minor in dance.
Throughout her four years in the dance program at Salve Regina, she had the opportunity to take
ballet, modern, and jazz classes from dynamic instructors such as Lindsay Guarino, Melody
Gamba, and Kimberly Calore-Sedlak. These instructors, as well as her dance peers, challenged
Elise to reach her potential as a dancer and choreographer. In addition to her dance minor, sheparticipated in Salve Regina’s SRU Dance club for all four years and performed in eight
productions. Elise choreographed three tap pieces and a lyrical piece during her time in the club.
She is currently a graduate student at Manhattanville College in the Literacy Birth-Grade 6program and will graduate in May of 2021. Elise is very excited to return to BCS as an instructorand is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with students of all ages.
